Other Eras

Some of our members enjoy researching, collecting and re-enacting other eras, in addition to the American Civil War.  An occasional item about those activities will appear here.

Kirk Walstedt recently gave on a presentation at the Essex & Community Historical Research Society on a local figure who figured prominently in the War of 1812.  It received a full page article in the February 25, 2010 issue of The Essex Voice.

Jon Liebrandt was also served as a soldier.

These images were taken at the Lest We Forget Our Vets reenactment in Benton Harbor June 2009.
